Robert Williams (Sr., West Covina, Calif. / Northview) and pitcher
Nick Meerson (Sr., Los Angeles, Calif. / Harvard-Westlake) have been selected to the All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) baseball team. They helped lead the Scots to a 9-11 conference record and 19-20 overall mark.
Williams, a two-time All-MIAC pick, hit .371 in conference games with a .548 slugging percentage, and finishes his career ranked No. 3 on the school's all-time hit list with 189. He started in every game and led the team in batting (.405), RBI (30), hits (51), on-base percentage (.450), slugging percentage (.556) and homers (3).
Meerson tied the Macalester record with nine wins on the mound and through 66 1/3 innings, struck out 42 batters while walking only 11. He tossed seven complete games. Meerson was 9-3 with a 3.53 ERA and in MIAC games tied for the league leadership in wins (5) and was third in innings pitched (40 1/3).
