Macalester vs. Messiah box score

Macalester toppled Messiah (Pa.) 8-1 Friday to close out its Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. with a winning 3-2 record.  The Scots also beat Spring Arbor (Mich.) and Wooster (Ohio) at Hilton Head.  One of their two losses was by just a single point.

Earning wins for the Scots in singles competition were: Katelyn Glenna (Fy., Winona, Minn.) at No. 1, Paige Schaefer (Jr., Madison, Wis. / East) at No. 2, Alicia Roopchand (Fy., Woodbridge, Conn. / Amity Regional) at No. 3, Carmen Whitehead (So., Greeley, Colo. / West) at No. 4 and Lucy Miner (Sr., Seattle, Wash. / Ballard) at No. 5.

Doubles winners were Glenna and Whitehead at No. 1, Schaefer and Roopchand at No. 2, and Miner and Gabby Queenan (Fy., Bedford, Mass.) at No. 3.

The Scots return to St. Paul and will be back in action March 24 with an MIAC match at Concordia-Moorhead.
