Box Score Springfield (Mass.) scored in the top of the 10th inning to win a 3-2 pitching battle in Chandler, Arizona, and ruining a standout pitching effort from Macalester's Justin Kleschen (Fy., Evanston, Ill. / Evanston Township), who was making his first collegiate start.  In 10 innings on the mound, Kleschen allowed just a couple earned runs, striking out four and walking only one.

Springfield scored a solo run in the top of the first inning and Macalester matched that with a run in the bottom of the second.  That's where the scored remained until plated eighth-inning runs, Springfield  on an error and the Scots on a Ross Bronfenbrenner (So., San Anselmo, Calif. / Marin Academy) triple and Garrett Salzman (Sr., Glendale, Calif. / St. Francis) RBI fielder's choice.  Springfield tallied the game-winner in the 10th.

The Scots were held to five hits on the day and are now 3-5 on their Spring Break trip.
