Macalester vs. Wooster box score

The Scots evened their Spring Break record at 2-2 by edging Wooster (Ohio) 5-4 in a hard-fought battle at Hilton Head, South Carolina.  Macalester went 3-3 in singles play and claimed two of the three doubles matches and now stands at 6-9 on the season.

At first doubles, the new tandem of Carmen Whitehead (So., Greeley, Colo. / West) and Katelyn Glenna (Fy., Winona, Minn.) pulled out a 9-8 victory, and at second doubles, Paige Schaefer (Jr., Madison, Wis. / East) and Alicia Roopchand (Fy., Woodbridge, Conn. / Amity Regional) won 8-0.

Schaefer dominated in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2 singles.  Roopchand won at No. 3 singles and Gabby Queenan (Fy., Bedford, Mass.) won at No. 5 singles.

Mac plays one more Hilton Head match – tomorrow against Messiah (Pa.) – before returning to St. Paul.
