Glasser, Ingram, Robinson make All-Midwest Region team

The ABCA NCAA Division III All-Midwest Region team

After leading Macalester to an all-time best 26 wins and the MIAC co-championship, three Scots have been selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) / NCAA Division III All-Midwest Region baseball team: second baseman Mitch Glasser (Jr., Chicago, Ill. / The Latin School), pitcher Alex Ingram (Sr., Chicago, Ill. / Morgan Park Academy) and pitcher Eric Robinson (Sr., San Francisco, Calif. / The Urban School).

Glasser and Ingram are second-team selections and Robinson is a third-team all-region pick. They are three of the 13 MIAC players to be named to one of the three teams.

Glasser led the Scots in batting average (.408) and slugging percentage (.617) while finishing with 30 RBI and four homers. He finished as the nation's toughest batter to fan in the Division III ranks, going down on strikes just once in 120 at-bats. He hit .462 in MIAC games and overall produced seven games with three or more hits.

Ingram and Robinson anchored a Macalester mound staff which 32nd nationally (out of 367 teams) in fewest walks per nine innings (2.91) and 52nd in ERA (3.72). Ingram posted an 8-1 record and 2.49 ERA, striking out 59 and walking 15 in 68 2/3 innings of work. Robinson went 8-2 with a 2.76 ERA, walking only 11 batters and striking out 45 in 65 1/3 innings.

This is the first time Macalester has had three players on the All-Midwest Region squad.
