Complete Bethel Open results

Macalester competed Saturday at the Bethel Open in Arden Hills and had some solid performances. This non-scored meet featured athletes from Mac, Bethel, Augsburg, St. Olaf, Northwestern, North Central, Minnesota, as well as some unattached entrants.

Martin Stenman Andersson (Sr., Uppsala, Sweden / IT-Gymnasiet Uppsala) turned in one of Macalester's best performances when he placed third in the 400-meter dash (54.10). Nick Mangigian (Sr., Ann Arbor, Mich. / Green Hills) finished fourth in the 3000-meter run (9:27.19).

Alex Rosselli (Sr., Columbus, Ind. / North) made the 55-meter high hurdle finals and placed sixth (8.26). Chris Pothoven (So., Mercer Island, Wash.) took eighth in both the shot put and weight throw with identical marks (35-7 ¼ / 10.85m).

The winter's third indoor meet is next Saturday (Feb. 13) as the Scots will participate at Carleton College's Meet of the Hearts in Northfield.
