The Scots hosted the Macalester Invitational Friday night and all day Saturday and placed third out of five teams as Karoline Hart (So., Rexford, N.Y. / Niskayuna) and Grace Fleming (So., Northampton, Mass.) combined for five first-place efforts to lead the way. St. Benedict topped St. Catherine for the team title.

Hart won the three breaststroke finals – winning at 50 yards (31.55), 100 yards (1:10.74) and 200 yards (2:33.64). Fleming came out on top in the two marathon races, placing first in the 1650-yard freestyle (18:24.51) and 500 free (5:19.40).

Hillary Frey (So., Portland, Ore. / St. Mary's Academy) placed second in the 200 individual medley (2:21.09) and third in the 200 backstroke (2:29.27). Clare Pillsbury (So., Baraboo, Wis.) and Kiersten Yeazel (Jr. Shorewood, Wis.) earned third-place finishes. Pillsbury was third in the 400 IM (4:58.54) and 100 back (1:06.62), while Yeazel placed third in the 50 butterfly (28.92).

This was the team's final meet leading up to the Feb. 18-20 at the University of Minnesota.
