Complete UW-Stout Warren Bowlus Invitational results

Macalester milers led the way for the Scots in the season-opening Wisconsin-Stout Warren Bowlus Invitational at Menomonie, Wis.  Out of 35 competitors entered in the mile run, the Scots boasted three of the top seven collegiate finishers.  Wade Ekstrom (Sr., La Crescent, Minn.) placed fourth (4:28.41), Ollie St. John (So., Washington, D.C. / Edmund Burke School) was sixth (4:33.94) and Dale Dybvig (Jr., Osceola, Wis.) finished seventh (4:37.73).

Participating teams, in addition to the Scots and UW-Stout, were Augsburg, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Superior, UW-La Crosse, Northwestern-Roseville, Minnesota-Duluth and St. Mary's.

Martin Stenman Andersson (Sr., Uppsala, Sweden / IT-Gymnasiet Uppsala) placed ninth in the 400-meter dash (53.72) and Carl Biggers (So., Verona, Wis.) placed 12th behind his three teammates in the mile (4:45.07).

Mac makes the short trip up Snelling Ave. on Saturday (Feb. 6) for the Bethel Open.
