Complete Grinnell Invitational Results | Grinnell Invitational team scores

Macalester placed seventh of eight teams Friday and Saturday at the Grinnell Invitational in Grinnell, Iowa. Grinnell edged Luther (Ia.) for the team title.

The Scots were led by Yamashita (Jr., Honolulu, Hi. / Iolani School), who placed sixth in the 100-yard butterfly (56.98). Yamashita was also seventh out of 55 entrants in the 100 freestyle (50.35) and Ted Metz (Fy., Teaneck, N.J.) finished seventh by winning the consolation finals in the 400-yard individual medley (4:49.95).

The Scots compete next Saturday (Jan. 23) at the St. Catherine University Invitational.
