Complete U of M Roy Griak Invitational results
Erin Lowrey (Sr., Whitefish Bay, Wis.) placed 23rd in a giant field of 500 runners as the Scots finished in 17th out of 37 teams Saturday morning at the University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational (Maroon Division) in Falcon Heights.
Lowrey completed the 6-kilometer race in 23:32.65 at the U of M's Les Bolstad Golf Course and was ninth best among MIAC runners.
Wisconsin-La Crosse edged UW-Oshkosh and UW-Eau Claire for top team honors. Bethel's Marie Borner was the individual champ with a 24.28.5 time.
Macalester No. 2 runner
Tess Carley (Fy., Cumberland, Me. / Greely), who placed 122nd overall (25:09.20).
Kira Spencer (Jr., Iowa City, Ia. / West) finished 139th (25:21.25),
Lena Sessions (Sr., Eugene, Ore. / South Eugene) was 144th (25:23.10),
Anna Hankins (Sr., Mansfield Center, Conn. / Edwin O. Smith) finished 155th (25:28. 55), and the team's fifth runner was
Libby Tollefson (Jr., Billings, Mont), who finished in 169th place (25:43.90).
The Scots race next Friday (Oct. 2) at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational in Colfax, Wis.
