Complete St. Olaf Invitational results
Macalester placed eighth out of 16 teams as
Erin Lowrey (Sr., Whitefish Bay, Wis.) finished 10th overall to lead the way for the Scots Saturday morning at the St. Olaf Invitational in Northfield. The Scots were third best among seven MIAC teams participating in this race and had three top-50 runners.
Minnesota-Duluth walked away with the team title over Winona State and St. Thomas.
Lowrey ran a huge race, placing 10th out of 277 runners with a 6-kilometer clocking off 23:20. That's five seconds faster than when she placed eighth at last year's St. Olaf Invite.
Libby Tollefson (Jr., Billings, Mont.) and
Tess Carley (Fy., Cumberland, Me. / Greely) also finished in the top 50. Tollefson was 41st (24:31) and Carley was 46th (24:40).
Lena Sessions (Sr., Eugene, Ore. / South Eugene) was Mac's fourth runner, placing 64th (25:03) and
Anna Hankins (Sr., Mansfield Center, Conn. / Edwin O. Smith) finished in 86th (25:33.).
