While the Macalester men were first in the Division III ranks (and all ranks) with a 3.65 GPA during the '09 Spring semester. The men edged out Ohio Wesleyan and Washington University in St. Louis for top Division III team honors.

The CSCAA produces the All-Academic list twice each year. The spring list also recognized indivdual All-Academic team honorees who are selected on the basis of their performance in the pool and the classroom.

The Macalester women had a pair of individual academic winners. Annie Flanagan (Sr., Madison, Wis. / East) earned Individual Scholar All-America honors, while teammate Karoline Hart (Fy., Rexford, N.Y. / Niskayuna) is an honorable mention selection.
