NCAA Division III track & field championship web site

After setting a school record 3:50.98 time last week at the UW-La Crosse NCAA Qualifier Meet, Macalester's Wade Ekstrom (Jr., La Crescent, Minn.) has earned a spot in the 1500-meter field at the NCAA Division III championships set for this Thursday through Saturday (May 21-23). This championship event is hosted by Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.

Ekstrom comes in as the No. 10 seed out of 16 the 1500-meter field and is one of four who earned their way in at La Crosse. Five different MIAC schools will be represented by one runner each in the 1500.

The 1500-meter preliminary heat is scheduled for Thursday at 4:15 p.m. (eastern time). Eight runners will advance to Saturday afternoon's finals.
