Complete Lee Krough Invitational results
Macalester competed in a huge 22-team meet at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter and turned in some impressive performance at the Lee Krough Invitational.
The gigantic meet had over 30 entrants in many events and featured teams from: Macalester, Gustavus, Minnesota State, Mankato, Augsbug, Northwestern, Concordia-St. Paul, Bethel , Hamline, Martin Luther, North Central University, UW-Superior, UM-Duluth, Augustana (S.D.), UM-Morris, St. Scholastica, UW-River Falls, Saint Mary's, UW-Stout, Concordia-Moorhead, Carleton, and the University of Minnesota .
Martin Stenman Andersson (Jr., Uppsala, Sweden / IT-Gymnasiet Uppsala) placed eighth in the long jump (20-8 / 6.30m) to lead the way for the Scots.
Macalester also received a third-place finish from its 4x200-meter relay team (1:31.83). Relay team members were
Kevin Williams (Sr., Kingston, Jamaica),
Kyle Hamblett (So., Paris, France / American School of Paris), Stenman Andersson and
Andrew Yokom (Sr., Arden Hills, Minn. / Mounds View).
Carl Biggers (Fy., Verona, Wis.) placed 11th in the 5000-meters (15:55.59),
Joe Schubert (So., Madison, Wis. / West) placed 13th in the 1500-meter run (4:16.66),
Wade Ekstrom (Jr., La Crescent, Minn.) finished 14th in the 800 (1:58.19) and
Franz Meyer (Sr., Kirkwood, Mo.) was 15th in the 400 high hurdles (58.39).
The Scots head to Northfield next Saturday (April 18) for the Carleton Relays.
