Macalester vs. Concordia box score

Concordia claimed two of the three doubles matches and went on to edge the Scots 5-4 Saturday night at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville as Macalester has started out its conference season with a pair of heart-breaking one-point setbacks. Macalester drops to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the MIAC, while the Cobbers go to 7-1 on the season, 2-1 in conference play.

The Scots won at first, second and third singles, and also came out on top at No. 1 doubles.

Angie Horner (Jr., Bismarck, N.D. / Century) won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles; Stephanie Lee (Jr., Camarillo, Calif. / Oaks Christian) won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2; and at third singles, Mac's Amanda Wenzel (Jr., Green Bay, Wis. / Southwest) picked up a 6-0, 6-2 victory.

Horner and Lee fought hard for a 9-7 win at No. 1 doubles.
