Macalester got the evening off to a good start by sweeping three tough doubles matches, and went on to beat Concordia-Moorhead 7-2 Saturday night at Lifetime Fitness Tennis Club in Lakeville. The Scots, who beat St. Mary's at this same venue the night before, have claimed four straight wins and are now 6-4 on the season and 2-2 in the MIAC.
The closest match was at No. 1 doubles, where
Charlie Edelman (Sr., Tucson, Ariz. / University) and
Michael Coleman (So., Westlake Village, Calif. / Agoura) took a 9-7 match.
Chris Fowler (Fy., Toronto, Ont. / Royal St. George's) and
Ali Bandeali (Fy., Karachi, Pakistan / Karachi Grammar School) won at No. 2 doubles 8-5. Mac won at third doubles behind the efforts of
Titus Levy (Jr., New York, N.Y. / The Fieldston School) and
Evan Elderbrock (Fy., Madison, Wis. / West). Elderbrock is now 7-1 in doubles play and 6-2 in singles play.
