Macalester's indoor track and field season wrapped up Friday and Saturday at the MIAC championships at Concordia College's Olson Forum in Moorhead.
Emily Matthews (Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) sprinted to a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash (27.07) to lead the way for the Scots and
Maddie Mette (Jr., Burnsville, Minn.) made the long jump finals, placing seventh (15-9 ¾ / 4.82m).
Mac's 800-meter relay team placed sixth (1:50.69) behind the sprints of
Celeste Prince (Jr., Lakewood, Colo.), Matthews,
Mari Mejia (So., Golden Valley, Minn. / St. Louis Park) and Mette.
Emma Swinford (Fy., Columbus, Ohio / Grandview Heights) placed 14th in the 1000-meter run (3:15.90) and
Tara McCoy (So., Menomonie, Wis.) finished 15th in the 600-meter dash (1:50.69).
The Scots placed 12th, while St. Thomas easily won the team title over runner-up Gustavus.
