Salem State (Mass.) scored three times in each of the third, fourth and fifth innings to pick up a 9-4 win over the Scots in Macalester's fourth Spring Break game at the Gene Cusic Classic in Ft. Myers, Florida.

Macalester (3-5 now 3-5 overall) received a couple hits each from Ali Nystrom (Jr., Minnetonka, Minn.), Crystal Barriga (Jr., Broomfield, Colo. / Legacy) and Kate Ziegler (Sr., Oak Park, Ill. / Oak Park-River Forest).

Olivia Abbott (Jr., Lakewood, Colo. / Green Mountain) struck out nine batters and walked just two in seven innings in the circle.
