Macalester's Ali Nystrom (Jr., Minnetonka, Minn.) has been named MIAC softball Player of the Week after leading the way for the Scots over their 10-game Spring Break trip to Ft. Myers, Florida. Splitting her time between second base and right field, Nystrom hit .438 at the Gene Cusic Classic to lead the Macalester attack. Nystrom, the team's leadoff batter, collected 13 hits in 32 at-bats and scored seven runs. She was 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts with three walks, and registered a .486 on-base percentage.
