Nathan Young (So., Denver, Colo. / Littleton) reached the consolation finals after posting the 15th best time in the morning prelims, and moved up three positions in the evening to earn a 12th place finish in the 100-yard backstroke at the NCAA Division III swimming & diving championships in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

Young turned in a 50.62 clocking in the prelims to move on and was fourth fastest in the consolation finals with a 50.51 clocking. He was one of three MIAC swimmers to finish in the top 12.

Young was 14th in both backstroke races at last year's national meet and now has three All-America honorable mention certificates.
