Macalester vs. Allegheny box score

Macalester's Spring Break trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, got off to a good start as the Scots defeated Allegheny (Pa.) 6-3, avenging a loss to the Gators on last year's spring trip. The Scots are now 2-4 on the year.

The Scots were a perfect 3-for-3 in doubles play and claimed straight set wins at first, second and third singles.

Stephanie Lee (Jr., Camarillo, Calif. / Oaks Christian) and Angie Horner (Jr., Bismarck, N.D. / Century) took an easy 8-0 match at No. 1 doubles; Abby Citrin (So., Rye Brook, N.Y. / Blind Brook) and Kelli Crescenti (Fy., Los Angeles, Calif. / Hart) won 8-4 at No. 2; and the tandem of Amanda Wenzel (Jr., Green Bay, Wis. / Southwest) and Becky Schneider (Sr., Larchmont, N.Y. / Mamaroneck) won at No. 3 8-2.

Macalester straight set singles wins were posted by Horner at No. 1, Lee at No. 2 and Wenzel at No. 3.

Mac's Hilton Head competition continues tomorrow when the Scots take on Hope (Mich.).
