Complete Bethel Open results
Macalester competed in its second meet of the indoor campaign and earned some high finishes at the Bethel Open in Arden Hills while going up against competitors from Bethel, Augsburg, St. Catherine and Northwestern (Minn.).
Adalaide Pagano (Sr., Niskayuna, N.Y.) easily won the 3000-meter run (11:40.79) to lead the way for the Scots.
The team was also well represented in the 1000-meter run, where
Emma Swinford (Fy., Columbus, Ohio / Grandview Heights) placed second (3:19.66) and was followed by
Skyler Larrimore (So., Chicago, Ill. / Walter Payton College Prep) in fourth (3:38.39) and
Devon Kristiansen (Fy., Dousman, Wis. / Catholic Memorial) in fifth (3:44.87).
Jenni Schubert (So., Fond Du Lac, Wis.) placed third in the weight throw (35-10 ½ / 10.93m) and added a fourth place finish in the shot put (30-9 ¼ / 9.38m).
Maddie Mette (Jr., Burnsville, Minn.) and
Mari Mejia (So., Golden Valley, Minn. / St. Louis Park) made the 55-meter dash finals, where Mette took fourth (7.87) and Mejia took sixth (8.08).
In the 400-meter dash,
Emily Matthews (Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) placed third (62.78). Matthews was also seventh best out of 17 entrants in the 200 dash (28.00).
The Scots travel to Northfield Saturday (Feb. 14) for Carleton's Meet of the Hearts.
