Macalester College is serving as host of the 2009 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis. The men and women normally run separate meets, but this will be the first time the Division III championships have been combined.

The Kenyon College (Ohio) is going for its 30th NCAA championship in a row, something never achieved by any NCAA team in any sport at any competitive level. Kenyon is also the defending Division III women's champ.

This four-day competition will be held Wednesday through Saturday, March 18-21. Morning sessions each day start and 10 a.m. and consolation and championship finals start each day at 5:30 p.m.

The U of M Aquatic Center has one of the fastest pools in the nation and has been the site of the NCAA Division III championships in 1999 and 2007. Several Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) athletes will compete, including Mac's Nathan Young in the men's backstroke races and Annie Flanagan in the women's diving events.
