For the third year in a row, Macalester track & field throws coach Bryan Tolcser will be competing at the USA Indoor National Track & Field Championships this Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 28-March 1) in Boston. Tolcser, in his fifth year on head coach Martin Peper's staff at Macalester, will compete in the 35-pound weight throw and is seeded seventh coming into the meet.
The concluding event of USATF's Indoor Visa Championship Series, the AT&T USA Indoor Track & Field Championships is the world's oldest indoor track championship, with the first meet being held in 1888 in New York. The event is held at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center at Roxbury Community College.
Coach Tolcser will be throwing on Sunday at 10:15 a.m.
Tolcser holds a Level 2 USA Track and Field coaching certification. He graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, with a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Studies. At St. Lawrence, he was a four time national qualifier in the weight and hammer throws and earned All-America honors in the weight.
