Complete University of Minnesota Parent's Day Open results

Tara McCoy (So., Menomonie, Wis.) led the way for the Scots Saturday at the highly-competitive University of Minnesota Parent's Day Open in Minneapolis as Macalester went up against Division I, Division II and Division III athletes. McCoy placed fourth in the 1000-meter run with a 3:19.08 clocking.

Emily Matthews (Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) won her heat and placed ninth overall out of 30 entrants in the 400-meter run (1:02.09). In the 49-runner 200-meter dash, Mari Mejia (So., Golden Valley, Minn. / St. Louis Park) was 19th (28.50) and Maddie Mette (Jr., Burnsville, Minn.) was 23rd (28.70.).

The Scots host the first-ever collegiate meet at the new Leonard Center this Saturday (Feb. 28). Mac's Pre-MIAC Meeting will be the final prep for the March 5-6 MIAC championships in Moorhead.
