Complete Snowshoe Open results
Macalester took on top-notch Division I and Division II competition at the University of Minnesota Snowshoe Open in Minneapolis. Most of the top finishers were from the U of M or Division II teams.
Although no match for Olympian Gary Bjorklund's 1977 U of M Fieldhouse record of 7:56.40,
Wade Ekstrom (Jr., La Crescent, Minn.) placed fourth overall – behind three Minnesota Gophers – in the 3000-meter run with a very fast 8:39.01 clocking. That smashes the old school record of 8:43.68 set by Brandon Guthrie 10 years ago.
Andrew Yokom (Sr., Arden Hills, Minn. / Mounds View) was eighth in the 400 dash (51.05).
Alex Rosselli (Jr., Columbus, Ind. / North) placed 13th out of 31 in the 60-meter hurdles (9.07) and was third best among Division III entrants.

Bryan Tolcser won the 35-pound weight throw (66-11 ½ / 20.41m) .
The Scots host the first-ever collegiate meet at the new Leonard Center this Saturday (Feb. 28). Mac's Pre-MIAC Meeting will be the final prep for the March 5-6 MIAC championships in Moorhead.
