Complete Meet of the Heart results

Emily Matthews (Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) won the 200- and 400-meter dash events to lead the way for the Macalester women at Carleton's Meet of the Hearts in Northfield. The Scots placed fifth in the team scoring, behind Gustavus, Luther, Carleton and Hamline.

Matthews won the 200-meter dash in 27.48 and won the 400 dash in 61.63

The Scots had a good day in the sprints. Maddie Mette (Jr., Burnsville, Minn.) and Mari Mejia (So., Golden Valley, Minn. / St. Louis Park) placed second and third, respectively, in the 55-meter dash. Mette finished in 7.92 and Mejia was right behind at 7.95. Mejia also sprinted to a fifth-place finish in the 200 dash (28.77).

Libby Tollefson (So., Billings, Mont.) placed seventh in the mile run (5:37.76) and Emma Swinford (Fy. Columbus, Ohio / Grandview Heights) was eighth (5:40.51).

Macalester participates in the University of Minnesota Parent's Day Open on Saturday (Feb. 21).
