Complete Meet of the Hearts results

Franz Meyer (Sr., Kirkwood, Mo.) and Ollie St. John (Fy., Washington, D.C. / Edmund Burke School) ran to first-place finishes in the middle distances to lead the way for Macalester at Carleton's Meet of the Hearts in Northfield. Meyer won the 1000-meter run (2:41.96) and St. John took first out of 24 entrants in the mile run (4:28.30).

Gustavus won the team competition, while the Scots finished fifth.

Wade Ekstrom (Jr., La Crescent, Minn.) was runner-up in the 3000-meter run (8:43.96) and Alex Rosselli (Jr. Columbus, Ind. / North) was third in the 55-meter hurdles (8.38). Rosselli also finished sixth in the 400-meter dash (52.91). Martin Stenman Andersson (Jr. Uppsala, Sweden / IT-Gymnasiet Uppsala) placed sixth in the 200 dash (24.21) and also finished seventh in the 400 meters (52.94).

The Scots compete at the University of Minnesota Snowshoe Open on Friday (Feb. 20).
