Complete Wisconsin-Stout Warren Bowlus Invitational results

The Scots traveled to Menomonie, Wis., on Saturday to get the indoor season started at the Wisconsin-Stout Warren Bowlus Open against top-flight competition. Macalester went up against athletes from UW-Stout, UW-La Crosse, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Superior, Minnesota-Duluth, St. Mary's, St. Scholastica and Northwestern (Minn.). The meet was not team-scored.

Emily Matthews (Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) gave the Scots their top finish when she took fifth in the 400-meter dash (1:03.72).

Emma Swinford (Fy., Columbus, Ohio / Grandview Heights) placed seventh in the 1000-meter run (3:23.34). In the 28-runner 1-mile run field, Libby Tollefson (So., Billings, Mont.) finished 12th (5:47.95) and Adelaide Pagano (Sr., Niskayuna, N.Y.) was 16th (5:54.05). Maddie Mette (Jr., Burnsville, Minn.) placed 14th out of 25 in the 55-meter dash (7.92) and Mari Mejia (So., Golden Valley, Minn. / St. Louis Park) was 16th (7.98).

The season's second indoor meet is next Saturday (Feb. 7) at the Bethel Open in Arden Hills.
