Wade Ekstrom (Sr., La Crescent, Minn.) made his final collegiate cross country race a good one, placing 52nd out of 276 runners at the NCAA Division III championships in Cleveland. Ekstrom was fifth fastest among all MIAC harriers.

Ekstrom, who placed fifth at the MIAC meet and 10th at the Central Regionals, completed the 8000-meter race at the Highland Park Golf Course in 26:24.6

Ricky Flynn of Lynchburg (Va.) won the individual race (25:09.8) and North Central (Ill.) walked away with the team championship over Williams (Mass.) and Allegheny (Pa.).
