Complete UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational results
Macalester placed a very good seventh at the 19-team Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational in the squad's top performance of the season.
Erin Lowrey (Sr., Whitefish Bay, Wis.) paced the team's standout effort by placing 11th among collegiate runners and 14th overall out of 332 total competitors. Lowrey's 6-kilometer time on the Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax was 22:55.
Tara McCoy (Jr., Menomonie, Wis.) crossed the finish line in 23:24 to place 31st and
Tess Carley (Fy., Cumberland, Me. / Greely) finished in 63rd with a 24:12 clocking.
Mac's fourth and fifth runners were
Eliza Leahy (So., Needham, Mass. / Minuteman Regional) and
Anna Hankins (Sr., Mansfield Center, Conn. / Edwin O. Smith), who both finished in the top one-third of the field. Leahy placed 104th (25:02) and Hankins was 110th (25:08).
No. 11-ranked UW-Eau Claire dominated the race for the team title over Minnesota-Duluth and Winona State. No. 12 Bethel placed fourth.
The Scots race next Saturday (Oct. 10) at the St. Catherine Quadrangular at 11 a.m.
