Macalester's Student-Athlete Advistory Council (SAAC) is again sponsoring its annual “Hoops for Hunger” Day this Saturday (Jan. 31) when the Scots host St. Thomas in a men's / women's basketball doubleheader at the Leonard Center. Game times are 1 p.m. (women) and 3 p.m. (men).

Attendees are encouraged to make a donations of canned goods or cash. Those making a donation will be entered into a halftime drawing for assorted prizes. The two drawings will be held at halftime of each game.

All donations will go to Second Harvest Food Shelf.

Also on Saturday, representatives from the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx will have prizes and give-aways for fans during the double header with St. Thomas.
