Marie Godwin, a junior from Chaska, Minnesota, is the representative from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Student-Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), and last week (Jan. 14-17) attended the annual NCAA Convention in Washington, D.C., before beginning a study-abroad program in Denmark.
Godwin, a three-year letter-winner for the Scots, serves on the NCAA Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the NCAA Committee on Sportsmanship and & Ethical Conduct.

“She was amazing at the way she carried herself,” said Godwin. “She has such a bright personality and caught the attention of all the delegates. She has really been a continuing inspiration for female athletes, not only in the first Title IX generation, but to mine as well.”
