Yehlen named assistant director of facilities

Jarrett Yehlen has been hired as the Assistant Director of Facilities - Athletics. Yehlen will be responsible for the oversight of the Leonard Center and will assist in the administration of event management at the college's athletic facilities. Yehlen served as the Minneapolis Facility Services and University Fieldhouse Manager at the University of Minnesota before joining the Macalester staff. Prior to working at Minnesota, Yehlen was a Game Operations Assistant in the athletic department at University of Missouri. He has served on several NCAA post-season championship committees; most recently as the Assistant Championship Director for the 2008 Big Ten Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championship.
Yehlen is originally from Poquoson, Virginia, and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri in Parks, Recreation and Tourism. He received his masters degree in Sports Management from the University of Minnesota. Yehlen began his duties June 16th and will prepare the Leonard Center for its opening in August.
