D3 Hoops All-West region team
Macalester sophomore forward
Trina PaStarr (Minneapolis, Minn. / Southwest) has been named to the D3hoops All-West Region squad. PaStarr receives third-team honors and is one of five MIAC players to receive all-region status.
PaStarr and the young Scots had a chance of making the conference playoffs going into the final game of the season and finished at 9-16 overall and 8-14 in the MIAC despite not having a home court, playing their home games at the College of St. Catherine.
The team scoring leader in 12 games, PaStarr ranked sixth in the MIAC in scoring (14.9 points per game), seventh in rebounding (7.6 rpg.) and fourth in blocked shots (1.3 bpg.).
The Division III west region is made up of teams from the MIAC, Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Northwest Conference and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, as well as a couple independents.
