Macalester College senior outside hitter Sonia Muzikarova (Bratislava, Slovakia/Gymnasium Bilikova) has been named as MIAC volleyball Hitter of the Week.  Muzikarova put up some big hitting numbers in her final week of MIAC play - enabling Macalester to play both Gustavus and Hamline to five-set thrillers.

She had a season high 31 kills versus Gustavus and added 12 kills against Hamline. Muzikarova added five service aces and 24 digs for the week and averaged five points per set in the two five-set games. The Scots gave second-place Gustavus a great challenge before falling 24-26, 29-27, 26-28, 25-10 and 21-19 in the fifth.
