Tenley Smith (Williamstown, Mass./Mount Greylock Regional) earned All-MIAC honorable mention, as the conference announced its year-end awards for women's golf today. Also, senior
Emma Iverson (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) was included on the MIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
This is the third consecutive year on the All-MIAC team for Smith, who made the All-MIAC team as a junior after receiving honorable mention in 2019. This year, she carded the team's lowest average of 80.9 over 11.5 rounds and six events. At the Blugold Invite Sept. 11-12, Smith shot a two-round score of 154 to tie for third place. She tied for 20th at the MIAC Championships last fall to lead the Scots. Smith's best finish at the conference tournament was 13th in 2019.
Iverson rejoined the golf team last fall after studying abroad in the spring of 2021. She was Macalester's fourth-best golfer with an 89.3 average as a senior. Iverson's best finish was a tie for fifth at the Saint Mary's Invitational in 2019, closing with a round of 80.
