Megan Auger won the 1999 NCAA Division III Central Region individual championship and in her final collegiate cross country race led the Scots to an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Division III championships with an All-American individual race. Earlier, she helped lead the Scots to a runner-up MIAC finish. Auger was also both all-conference and all-region during her sophomore and junior seasons after transferring to Macalester as a sophomore.
She was also a key member of some outstanding Macalester track relay teams and helped the Scots win the MIAC indoor distance medley relay and place second outdoors in the x-800-meter relay. Individually, Auger earned first, second and third-place conference finishes, including a win in in the 3000-meter run as a sophomore.
