Lisa Bauer starred in two sports for the Scots. As the goalkeeper for the women’s soccer team, she was a three-time All-American and received All-MIAC and All-Region honors four times. In 45 games against conference teams, Bauer allowed just eight goals, a stretch that included blanking all 11 MIAC opponents as a junior in 2002. With Bauer in goal, the Scots won MIAC titles in 2000 and 2001, and played in two NCAA tournaments. A shortstop on the softball team, Bauer also displayed good hands on the diamond. Despite playing only three years, she holds the program record for career assists and ranks ninth all-time at Macalester with 99 hits.
