While at Macalester, Dr. William H. A. Watson played on the baseball and track and field teams and was a member of the M Club.
After graduating from Macalester, Watson became a successful physician and surgeon. He was the College's team physician for 25 years. He has been active in the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians.
Watson received the 1962 Merit Award from the Minnesota Academy of General Practice. He was elected president of the Minnesota Academy of General Practice in 1963, and became a Charter Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians in 1972.
Watson has been recognized for his devotion to Macalester Athletics. He currently lives in St. Paul.
