Macalester's Swimming and Diving teams have an incredible reputation for setting high academic standards. The men's team has been ranked in the top ten in the nation in team GPA in Division III 13 of the past 15 semesters, while the women's team has also been ranked in the top ten in 13 of those 15 semesters. The two teams have combined to rank first in the country eight times, with the women's team gaining the top spot the last three consecutive semesters.
