This competition featured the top teams and players in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. Horner receives second-team at-large honors.  Horner is the most accomplished player in the history of the Macalester women&rsquo;s tennis program. She graduated last week with a double-major in English and Russian Studies, and a 3.89 cumulative grade point average. These three combined to go 43-11 at the top of the singles lineup, including 22-8 in league play. The doubles team of Lee and Horner also gets an all-conference certificate for the second year in a row. This defeat, coupled with Concordia&rsquo;s 5-4 win at the same time against St. Catherine, keeps the Scots out of the MIAC post-season tourney this weekend. St. Olaf, however, rallied for four singles victories to earn a narrow 5-4 victory.  Six of Macalester&rsquo;s nine conference battles have been decided by 5-4 final scores in what has been one of Mac&rsquo;s most exciting seasons ever. This is the first double-digit streak for the Scots since the team won 11 in a row in 1999. The Scots improve to 10-4 on the season and 4-2 in the MIAC. The Scots have relied heavily on the top half of its lineup the past two years but against Hamline it came down to contentious matches at fifth and sixth singles which went Macalester&rsquo;s way.
