Jeff Yamashita led the way for the Scots by winning the 50-yard freestyle (22.91) and 100-yard butterfly (55.14). The event was in honor of former Carleton College student and athlete Edward H. &ldquo;Ted&rdquo; Mullin, who passed away from sarcoma, a rare soft-tissue cancer, in 2006.   The event is a one-hour, all-out, leave-it-in-the-pool practice that was staged simultaneously at numerous pools across the country. The visitors won the meet by a 151-110 score. Ted Metz began his college career by swimming to first-place finishes in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:38.94) and 100 breaststroke (1:09.91). Young turned in a 50.62 clocking in the prelims to move on and was fourth fastest in the consolation finals with a 50.51 clocking. Young was edged by Peter Mullee of St. Thomas for the title.
