Macalester vs. Spring Arbor box score

Macalester captured two of the three doubles matches and snapped a seven-match losing slump by holding off Spring Arbor (Mich.) 5-4 at Hilton Head.

After suffering 6-7 set two defeats, the Scots bounced back with third set triumphs at first and second singles.  Kate Glenna (Fy., Winona, Minn.) pulled out the three-setter at No. 1 singles and Paige Schaefer (Jr., Madison, Wis. / East) won in three set at No. 2.  Macalester's other victory in singles competition came at No. 5 where Carmen Whitehead (So., Greeley, Colo. / West).

Schaefer and Alicia Roopchand (Fy., Woodbridge, Conn. / Amity Regional) won at second doubles, while Whitehead and Lucy Miner (Sr., Seattle, Wash. / Ballard) won at third doubles.
