Macalester has been selected to play in the NCAA Division III championship playoffs and will be the host site for first- and second-round matches this Friday and Saturday (Nov. 12-13).

One of 21 at-large teams selected to the 63-team bracket, the Scots ended the regular-season with a six-match unbeaten streak and 11-5-2 overall record. They'll host Wisconsin-Stevens Point (16-2-1) in one region semi-final match, while on the other side of the Macalester bracket are Concordia-Moorhead (11-4-4) and Northwestern-Minn. (13-8).

Friday's first round games are as follows: Concordia vs. Northwestern - 5 p.m. / Macalester vs. UW-Stevens Point - 7:30 p.m.  Saturday's second round match is scheduled for 6 p.m.  Ticket prices are $6 for adults, $3 for students, $3 for senior citizens (55+) and military personnel, and $2 for children 3-12.

The is Macalester's 15th trip to the NCAA playoffs. The Scots are 19-11-3 all-time in the national playoffs (the three ties went to penalty kick shootouts).
