Complete Wartburg Fall Invitational results

Ellen Bubak (Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D. / Lincoln) placed 23rd out of just over 100 golfers to lead the way for Macalester at the highly-competitive Wartburg Fall Invitational at Centennial Oaks Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa.

Bubak finished with an 86 on Saturday's first round and followed that up with an 83 Sunday for a 36-hole total of 169.

Many of the top teams in the Midwest were at the tournament, which was won by Washington University in St. Louis. Macalester placed 17th out of 22 teams with a 762 team score (384-378).

Grace Caird (Fy., Shorewood, Wis.) was Macalester's No. 2 golfer, finishing 51st with a 178 (88-90). Molly Faulkner (So., Highland Park, Ill./ Carl Sandberg) had rounds of 99 and 94 for a 193.

The Scots play next Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 19-20) at the D3 Midwest Classic at The Jewell in Lake City.
