Complete Hamline University Meet of the UnSaintly results
Macalester had its final tune-up for next weekend's conference championships by turning in some impressive performances at Hamline's Meet of the UnSaintly in a competition dominated by Division I and II athletes as well as unattached entrants.
The Scots were well-represented in the 5000-meter run, as
Wade Ekstrom (Jr., La Crescent, Minn.) placed fourth as the top Division III runner (15:09.84) and
Martin Mudry (Sr., University Heights, Ohio / University School) finished eighth (15:48.00). Teammate
Carl Biggers (Fy., Verona, Wis.) was 12th (16:10.44).
Ollie St. John (Fy., Washington, D.C. / Edmund Burke School) finished third in the 3000-meter steeplechase (9:58.24).
In the 100 dash,
Kevin Williams (Sr., Kingston, Jamaica) was seventh out of 28 (10.95) and
Kyle Hamblett (So., Paris, France / American School of Paris) finished 10th (11.12).
Macalester also received good races in the 400-meter high hurdles as
Andrew Yokom (Sr., Arden Hills, Minn. / Mounds View) placed fifth (56.11) and
Franz Meyer (Sr., Kirkwood, Mo.) took seventh (57.77).
Martin Stenman-Andersson (Jr., Uppsala, Sweden / IT Gymnasiet Uppsala) placed sixth in the long jump (6.05m).
Carleton hosts the MIAC championships Friday and Saturday (May 8-9) in Northfield.
