MIAC post-season softball honors

Olivia Abbott (Jr., Lakewood, Colo. / Green Mountain) has been selected by league coaches to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) all-conference team.

Abbott, who excelled at both pitcher and second base while batting No. 2 in the batting lineup, gained Macalester's three MIAC pitching wins. She pitched 66 innings, striking out 45 batters against 22 walks and went 3-9. Overall, on the season, Abbott was 7-12 with a 4.57 earned run average with 87 strikeouts in 118 innings.

She batted .350 in 21 MIAC games (21-for-60) with 11 runs scored. On the season, Abbott posted a .319 batting average and was second on the team with 24 runs scored. She committed just three errors in league play.

Abbott was also selected as Mac's representative on the MIAC All-Sportsmanship team.
