Complete Lee Krough Invitational results
Macalester competed in a huge 23-team meet at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter and turned in some impressive performance at the Lee Krough Invitational.
Emily Matthews (Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) and
Maddie Mette (Jr., Burnsville, Minn.) led the way for the Scots with top-ten finishes. Matthews placed sixth out of 35 sprinters in the 400-meter dash (1:00.94) and Mette finished eighth in the long jump (16-4 ¼ / 4.98m).
The gigantic meet had over 30 entrants in many events and featured teams from: Macalester, Gustavus, Minnesota State, Mankato, Augsburg, Northwestern, Concordia-St. Paul, St. Catherine, Bethel , Hamline, St. Olaf, Martin Luther, North Central University, UW-Superior, UM-Duluth, Augustana (S.D.), UM-Morris, St. Scholastica, UW-River Falls, Saint Mary's, UW-Stout, Concordia-Moorhead, and St. Benedict.
Two Scots sprinted to 15th place finish:
Mari Mejia (So., Golden Valley, Minn. / St. Louis Park) in the 100 dash (13.98) and
Tara McCoy (So., Menomonie, Wis.) in the 400 dash (1:03.14).
Macalester participates next Saturday (April 18) at the St. Olaf Manitou Classic in Northfield.
