Macalester vs. St. Michael's box score

Macalester rolled past St. Michael's (Vt.) 8-1 at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, to close out its spring break trip with a 3-3 record. Two of the three's three defeats were by just a single point. The Scots return to Minnesota with a 9-7 record on the season.

The Scots took all three doubles sets. Charlie Edelman (Sr., Tucson, Ariz. / University) and Michael Coleman (So., Westlake Village, Calif. / Agoura) won a close 8-6 contest at No. 1; Chris Fowler (Fy., Toronto, Ont. / Royal St. George's) and Ali Bandeali (Fy., Karachi, Pakistan / Karachi Grammar School) won 8-4 at No. 2 doubles; and at third doubles, Evan Elderbrock (Fy., Madison, Wis. / West) and Titus Levy (Jr., New York, N.Y. / Fieldston School) won easily 8-1.

The closest singles match occurred at No. 1 where Mac's Edelman held off for a 6-3, 3-6, 10-4 victory. Also winning in singles play were Coleman at No. 2; Bandeali at No. 4, Elderbrock at No. 5 and Levy at No. 6.

The Scots are off until April 8 when they play at Hamline.
